Meet The Farmers

Link one.jpeg

Link

Carrot

Although it’s only been a little over a year, Link has been completely swept up by farming. He has been studying viticulture for years and has found common ground ;) with his agricultural studies. He is a firm believer in the permaculture movement and has designed the farm so few outside inputs are necessary, and the primary objective is to grow delicious vegetables and build healthy soil.

In addition to being a farmer, Link is also currently one of only a handful of Master of Wine candidates in the country and an organic wine importer- both of which provide the excellent excuse to drink wine often. He is also a singer-songwriter and regularly serenades the crops. He finds they are a perfect audience and rarely request a song he doesn’t know. He is one, or both, of the Bourbon Brothers BBQ team and can often be found keeping the smokers running low and slow on the weekend-which is only partially true for his whiskey glass.

He is out in the field everyday. Honk if you see him. He’s a heck of a waver.

Sophy one.jpeg

Sophy

Chicken

Sophy, a Brit who has lived in London, Rio, San Juan, and New York City, it only seems appropriate she feels right at home on the farm after all that big-city living.

A native of Kent in the UK, also known as the garden of England, it was easy for her to acclimate to her new pastoral surroundings. She can often be found in her medicinal herb garden, or in the coop being mother to 23 tiny dinosaurs.

When not farming, Sophy manages a team of business operational consultants who help fortune 50 companies turnaround their creative and marketing operations.  She finds that there are many more similarities than you would imagine between building healthy work environments and growing healthy chickens and herbs.

Even though she is british, she is quite friendly, stop by and say hi!
